I am the second owner of the car and have had it since 1983. The title shows salvage because it was dinged in the drivers side front fender area in 2015. I can provide pictures to show the minor damage. Insurance company totaled it due to not being able to match the paint that was on it at the time. After that was settled, I had the body totally restored removing all dents and dings and painted in a version of the original stock two tone paint. This ZX is totally rust and bondo free. The seats were also restored in leather in the original colors. Door panels are Datsun stock parts. The carpet is the original carpet. Front mats are after market ZX equipment. The wheels are custom made and the tires have plenty of tread, although they are over ten years old. The struts were recently replaced. Stereo is Alpine Bluetooth with subwoofer and excellent sound. Sound dampening material that was installed with the stereo helps alleviate some of the road noise. Car includes custom cover and bra. The hatch has new lifts, but does not stay up on its own due to the weight of the louvers. All the gages and power mirrors work well. I have virtually all receipts for the car since I bought it in 1983. I also have a box of replacement parts such as badging and trim that I have acquired over the years. I have the original owners manual. The engine has always been well maintained, repaired when needed and has not been modified. Engine is an in-line 6 cylinder, 4 cycle OHC that gets about 30 mpg. 132 HP. Not much power, but it runs smooth. Transmission is five speed manual. There are no fluid leaks. The dashboard is in excellent condition under the dash mat shown in the picture. The dash mat has been in place for at least 30 years. Air conditioning was restored a few years ago and works very well. The clock works, but resets to 12:00 every once in awhile, so I don’t bother with it. Cruise control has been lightly used over the years and works well. Dome light comes on when the drivers door is opened, but not when the passenger door opens. Ignition is fairly new, but a separate key is needed for the gas cap and hatch. I only have one hatch key and it is very worn, so I always use the pull by the driver door. Hatch and hood pulls both work well. There is a fairly new Viper alarm that works well and has two remotes. There is also an ignition kill switch below the steering wheel. Exhaust is a few years old with very few miles driven since it was put in. The windshield was replaced in 2015. No mechanical problems with the blinkers or any of the other safety equipment. Windshield wipers and headlights are not very effective compared to modern cars, but all work.
