The BMW E24 6 Series? It delivers both — without apology.
Launched in Munich in 1976, this grand tourer set the standard for the perfect balance between beauty and power. From the iconic sharknose and the classic kidney grille to the long, flowing roofline that had many humming “bad boys, bad boys” — the E24 is nothing short of rolling art.
The first models appeared as the 630 CS and 633 CSi. But in 1983, the pinnacle arrived: the 635 CSi. Its beating heart? An engine directly derived from the legendary M1, bored out to 3.5 litres. The result: 33 extra Bavarian horses and the famed “i” — standing for Bosch injection, a textbook example of German precision and reliability.

This isn't nostalgia — it's a masterclass in how a GT coupé should be built.
While production continued into the late ’80s, true connoisseurs know: the pre-1986 models are the ones to own. Why? No catalytic converter to muffle the symphony of the six-cylinder. Full power. Full character. Raw and pure.
