This 1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is a really clean Jeep that spent its
life in the Pacific NW. This is a mostly original Jeep that has had
a lot of work done to it recently to make it a reliable driver. The
body on this Grand Wagoneer is clean and straight. The Black paint
was professionally refinished a while back and looks fantastic!
They left the woodgrain original and it has some fading and patina
but it looks cool. All of the stainless chrome and trim is original
and still looks nice. The underside is super clean and we found no
rust issues with this vehicle.
The interior is also in excellent condition. The seats, carpet,
door panels, dash, and dash bezel are all original and still really
nice. The Headliner is newer and was professionally redone. The
headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all
working. The gauges all work. This vehicle has tilt and cruise
control. It has power windows that all work and recently had the
motors replaced. The rear power window works great but only with
the dash switch. This vehicle does have power locks but they are
sticky and don't work all the time (this is an issue we see in
nearly every one of these we have sold.). The heat and AC also
work. The AC system was recently overhauled and changed to R134A.
New Compressor, lines, o rings, accumulator tank, etc.
mechanically this Jeep is excellent!!! It runs and drives
wonderful. The engine is the 5.9L 360 V8 that runs strong and
smooth with no issues or red flags that we found. It sounds great
with an added Flowmaster exhaust that is not too loud but shows off
the V8. It has had quite a bit of work done to it recently
including new engine mounts, new oil pan gasket, new starter, new
belts, new water pump, new valve cover gaskets, and new exhaust
manifold gaskets. We do have some of the receipts but most of the
work is documented on the clean carfax. It has the 727 Automatic
transmission that shifts nice. It was recently serviced and also
had a new transmission mount installed. It is mated to the just
serviced np229 transfer case and the 4WD works like it should. The
rear axle is a Dana 44 with 3.31 gears and the front axle is a Dana
44 with 3.31 gears. They were both also recently serviced. The
brakes system was also recently gone through with new pads on the
front and new drums and shoes on the back. It has a 3 Inch Rough
Country Lift that was professionally installed with new front
springs and shocks. The rear has blocks and air shocks. They added
new All terrain tires to the factory aluminum wheels. This is a
great looking ride for someone.
