Beautifully Restored 1935 Mercedes-Benz 290 Cabriolet DThis 1935
Mercedes-Benz 290 Cabriolet D is a stunning example that's been
completely restored. Black over green with green leather interior.
It runs and drives great, ready to be driven, shown, and enjoyed by
its next lucky caretaker. No expense was spared during the
restoration and the car comes with all of the records and receipts
to show for it. Just out of long-term loving ownership. A very
special car. A cornerstone mid-1930s Mercedes-Benz model, the
stately and luxurious Cabriolet D heralded a number of advanced
engineering features including hydraulic brakes, transverse leaf-
/coil-spring front suspension, a coil-sprung floating rear axle,
and a 60-hp, 2,867 cc side-valve inline six-cylinder engine. The
Cabriolet D was recognizable by its unique combination of
front-opening or suicide front doors and rear-opening rear doors,
which heightened the visual impression of the car?s interior room.
A lesser-seen motor car in today?s classic car market. Handsome,
understated, and nicely proportioned. A rare opportunity to acquire
an open pre-WWII Mercedes. Fully restored 290 Cabriolet D Rarely
