The first V8 motor for Ford was made available in 1932 and in 1933
they were known as the Model 40. These cars were very popular and
went on to become the base for some of the coolest Street Rods on
the road. The modern era of Street Rodding takes the vintage look
of these early Fords and packs in upgraded features to make them
safe and reliable for long distance driving. This clean '33 is all
steel and painted in a bright Viper Red that has a beautiful shine.
It has then been accented with multicolor pinstriping that was very
nicely done. The Sedan body is shaved free of all exterior handles,
bumpers, or any trim. It does have a nice chrome front grill and
comes with a bug screen to keep it clean while driving. The lights
all work properly and it has an added third brake light in the rear
window for extra visibility. On the taillight panel is where you
will find the flush mounted fuel door. The glass is in good
condition throughout and has a slight tint. It doesn't get driven
in the rain but does have a front windshield just in case. The car
rides on a set of custom 5 spoke Boyd Coddington wheels that have a
nice shine and look great.
One big feature this car has to offer is it is actually powered by
a Ford motor! That seems funny to say but with so many of these
running around with a small block Chevy it is great to see one with
a Ford 5.0 in place. The motor offers all the power you could ask
for and is chromed out everywhere you look. It is paired with a
automatic transmission with overdrive and a 10 bolt rear end. It
runs great and travels smoothly down the road at 70mph taching
around 2,000 rpm. The car has power steering, power 4 wheel disc
brakes and even AC/Heat which aren't features a lot of these street
rods receive. The battery has been mounted below the back seat but
for ease of access there are posts underneath the car in case you
have to jump it off. Other nice features include the Mustang II
independent front suspension and QA1 adjustable coil overs.
The interior is beautifully done in a two tone Tan and Beige
leather upholstery that is in great condition. It has nice
adjustable high back bucket seats up front and a split bench in the
rear so this is a street rod you can actually have more than 1
passenger in! On the headrests "33 Ford" has been embroidered and
the interior is very clean throughout. On the floor is a modern
t-handle shifter and next to it is an emergency brake handle. The
dash is all custom and nicely upholstered as well. It features
Dakota Digital gauges in a custom bezel, AC/Heat controls,
adjustable vents, a Sony stereo and power window switches. The
power windows can also be operated via remote. In front of the
driver sits a chrome tilt steering column topped off with a custom
polished 2 spoke wheel with Ford horn button. This car is fully
loaded and even has cruise control! For added safety door pins were
installed on the suicide doors.
This clean '33 is in excellent condition and is ready to go. It
shows well and drives great!
This beauty could be yours for $59,000.00!
This car is located in Amelia, Virginia.
