If you're browsing our site, odds are you are probably looking for
a car that is either fast, rare, collectible, or just good-looking.
But, what if you could find a vehicle that is all of those things
in one package? This 2001 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 B4C arrives with its
original paint and body panels, boasting just 25,590 actual miles
on its odometer, and still looks fantastic. Generally accepted as a
de-badged Z/28, the B4C package is also known as the Special
Service Package (SSP) or simply the Police Package. Created as a
no-frills performance car, the B4C Camaros were made to be driven
hard.
Inside this hardtop body, we find a minimalist, mostly stock
interior decked out in Pewter cloth. A long center storage console
separates dual bucket seats, while a set of buckets sits in back,
able to be folded down to dramatically expand cargo area if and
when it is needed. A four-spoke padded steering wheel sits in front
of a six-pod analog gauge cluster, featuring a bit 7,000 rpm
tachometer and 150 mph speedometer, each flanked by a pair of
auxiliary gauges on either side. Along with power windows, locks,
mirrors, and air conditioning, this Camaro was also equipped with
the available eight-speaker AM/FM/CD Monsoon stereo system,
completing the amenities of this stripped-down Z/28.
Under the hood, we find a numbers-matching 5.7-liter LS1 V-8
engine, which has often been referred to as nearly bulletproof, but
in this case, it takes on an entirely different context that
shouldn't be taken literally. The B4C package added heavy-duty
cooling and electrical systems, including a higher-capacity battery
and matching alternator. Automatic-equipped cars like this one also
come with oil and transmission coolers. From the factory, this
motor produced a legitimate 310 horsepower and 340 pound-feet of
torque. That power is funneled through a numbers-matching 4L60E
four-speed automatic transmission before being sent to the
3.23-gear, ten-bolt rear end. Those ponies are transferred to the
pavement via a set of ten-spoke 16-inch stock alloy wheels shod in
245/50R-16 Goodyear Eagle RSA tires that look to be original to the
car.

This 2001 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 B4C rides on an upgraded heavy-duty
suspension that included beefier shocks and springs, oversized
front and rear sway bars, and heavy-duty bushings to go along with
four-wheel power disc brakes to allow this Camaro to be able to
turn and stop just as well as it can sprint in a straight line.
Fun, fast, and visually appealing, this B4C-equipped Z/28 is one of
just 279 produced for 2001 with an automatic transmission. To make
this car even more special, it is one of only 47 units made with an
auto and painted in Arctic White. So, if you're looking for a car
that has everything you came here for all-in-one package, you might
be surprised to find out that package has a name - B4C. Don't wait,
