Everyone seems to love the 1967, '68, and '69 Camaros. That's
probably why you see so many customized and brought back to life,
like this 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Tribute LS1 Restomod. Its
beautiful blue color is graced with the famous front fender
wraparound stripe. The front grille looks correct with electric
hide-away headlights. The front bumper and lower spoiler look
great, as do the rear bumper, taillights, and the rest of the
chrome-plated pieces around the vehicle. The 2-inch cowl, rear
spoiler, and five-star touring rims give the final touches that
make this car look like a true muscle restomod.
The blue interior offers a true original feel with bucket seats
wrapped in Velour material with thin white striping. Well-kept
carpets fit perfectly, and the dashboard, center console, and door
panels are clean. The dashboard keeps its original layout with
aftermarket gauges. The heat controls are just to the right of the
gauges, and below that is a custom AutoSound AM/FM/Aux stereo with
6x9 Pioneer speakers in the rear. The steering wheel is in nice
condition to hold on to, while the shifter is ready to slam some
gears.
Under the hood is an organized, clean setup. The 350
cubic-inch/5.7-liter LS1 is bolted onto the cradle and has
Electronic Fuel Injection and a set of 853 heads. For better
cooling, an aftermarket aluminum radiator was installed with an
electric fan. The LS1 engine dress-up covers are painted to match
the exterior/interior colors. For the drivetrain, there is a 4L60E
four-speed transmission paired with a 10-bolt rear end. The
independent front suspension consists of Ridetech tubular upper and
lower control arms, coil springs, shocks, and a sway bar, while the
rear suspension handles its business with leaf springs and
shocks.
Front 17-inch Riddler wheels and rear 18-inch wheels are wrapped in
245/45R17 tires in the front and 245/45R18 tires in the back. For
brakes, there are drilled and slotted power disc brakes on all four
corners. And for a nice muscle car sound, the Camaro has shorty
headers, dual exhaust through aftermarket mufflers.
