For Sale: 2007 Chevrolet Corvette in Morgantown, Pennsylvania

Vehicle Description

2007 Chevrolet Corvette 3LT Pace Car Convertible

To commemorate the 2007 Indianapolis 500, 500 Pace Car replicas were built for the public and another 57 cars were produced as actual pace and festival cars for the race. Corvette has been selected to pace Indy an incredible twenty one times, beginning in 1978 and most recently in 2025 with the 1,000+ horsepower ZR-1.

For consignment, a 2007 Chevrolet Corvette 3LT pace car convertible with a title verified 18,287 actual miles. All 2007 pace cars for the public were convertibles and had identifying pace car graphics.

Exterior
This shade of burnt orange is what GM calls Atomic Orange and it is eye-catching to say the least, and a spectacular contrasting match with the black canvas top that visually connects the dots to the tires, black graphics, and historic Indy emblem. The pace graphics include flowing ribbons of gold coming from the Vette's iconic fender vent and blowing back in a random pattern as if moved by the wind. The bronze and black Indy crest is on the door and a Chevrolet windshield banner looms large at the top of the glass and can be seen from the cheap seats at the Brickyard. Chrome Corvette wheels are 18-inch up front and 19-inch in back with staggered sized ZR rated tires, here with a mid 2018 date code. The rear of the car features a wide panel with quad tail lights and quad center exit exhaust tips and reverse lights are cleverly embedded in the valance. Outside of the common chin scrapes, the outside is nearly flawless.

Interior
The standard molded and textured black plastic panels cover the door, clean and efficient. Nicely bolstered black leather seats await, and these are made special by the full color Indianapolis crest embroidered onto the headrest. Once inside, you're surrounded by more Atomic Orange, first on the hard tonneau over the stowed top, center trim, and surrounding the switchgear in front and coating the center stack and console. The thick steering wheel gives way to a tidy instrument cluster with bright red needles while the center stack is home to a screen displaying the functions of the AM/FM/CD radio and navigation. Like new conditions prevail, even on the shifter and armrest as low pile black carpet ties the interior together and is protected by fitted carpeted mats. The trunk is surprisingly useful and fully finished in gray carpet and side panels.

Drivetrain
Color matched engine covers get your attention just before you note how clean the bay is. Here we have the 6.0 liter V8 rated at a healthy 400 horsepower and mated to a 4L60E 4-speed automatic that sends power to the rear axle with 2.56 gears in a limited slip differential. Naturally, four wheel power disc brakes are onboard to rein in the horses.

Undercarriage
All original and spectacular underneath as one would expect. Lots of flat belly pans here for aerodynamics and they're all clean. Dual exhaust travels down the center tunnel, enters original mufflers out back, then disperse two splitters that end in beveled chrome tips. Corvette's SLA double wishbone suspension with transverse mounted composite leaf springs make up the complex suspension of front and rear.

Drive-Ability
The want is real! This lean and low C6 is one that anyone would be proud to wake up to every day, and we're with you on that. The power is addictive, the handling is second to none, and the sound is glorious. Of course, as a pampered low mileage example, all functions check the box for successful operation, and we park it back in the mall before trying our luck at the casino across the street. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.

Do you know there are people who collect pace cars? Is that you? Because here's a fine addition. But even if you don't collect them, here's your entry into a rather exclusive group, one of 500 to be exact. Like many of the Vette pace cars, this one has a unique color and of course, one year only graphics. Deciding to buy this Atomic Orange beauty doesn't require splitting atoms.
