Vehicle Description
Chassis No. BNR34-005124
NISMO Engine No. 1082
The Omori Factory at NISMO has long championed a unique philosophy:
to restore classic GT-R vehicles not only in appearance but in
visible, tangible performance-true "NISMO restored cars." Each
project blends rigorous engineering precision with motorsports
heritage, enhancing these legendary machines on every measurable
front.
If the donor GT-R meets the exemplary standards expected by NISMO
and is selected for factory restoration, the car is completely
disassembled before the Omori team inspects the unibody, measures
torsional rigidity, and applies new sealant. As part of the project
the owner is offered a nearly endless array of custom color options
along with a choice to refinish the car in its originally applied
hue. Under the hood, the engine is meticulously
overhauled-completely stripped, cleaned, and balanced. Owners can
opt for upgraded NISMO tuning specs for elevated performance before
the rebuild that sees the straight-six mill bench-tested at varied
rpm ranges. The drivetrain, brakes, and suspension are similarly
refreshed often with the finest modern high-performance parts from
hlins, Brembo, RAYS, and of course NISMO themselves. After nearly
a year of painstaking work, a NISMO test driver validates chassis
dynamics, ride comfort, and road manners to ensure exemplary
performance.
The result is a contradiction in terms. NISMO's Clubman Race Spec
GT-R is a brand new factory-built masterpiece yet limited
production and vintage at the same time. Simply, it is a GT-R that
not only looks showroom-fresh but delivers the visceral, precise
feel of a modern performance car embodied with factory-level
consistency.
It is believed that since NISMO began their CRS restoration program
in 2013 there have been less than 20 GT-Rs reborn as a Clubman Race
Spec-a total strikingly similar to the 19 elusive R34 Z-tunes
produced. Such is the pride in selection of the base vehicle and of
course the cost and dedication expected of the client. BNR34
chassis number 005124 is one such car. First created in August 1999
as a rare Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec in Sonic Silver, chassis
005124 was delivered to NISMO's Omori Factory as reportedly a
single owner example with 34,498 kilometers. A deposit was placed
with NISMO in 2021 to secure a build slot, with the factory
restoration beginning in June 2023. Commissioned by the US and
UK-based consignor-a noted JDM car collector-this CRS GT-R V-Spec
is likely the freshest build to emerge from Omori. Like each CRS
before it, the base car went through the same disassembly, rigorous
inspection, and repairs before the build begins.
Finished in GV1 Black Pearl Metallic, the only known example so
finished, the body features numerous alterations in both material
and design. Carbon is the key element that features a mix of Z-tune
and NISMO parts up front with a Z-tune dry carbon front bumper and
front lip spoiler, R-tune carbon fiber front hood with massive
vents, and wider front Z-tune fenders with Super GT-style hot air
vents. In a subtle nod to the underlying materials, a negative
unpainted Omori Factory logo adorns both front fenders. Toward the
rear of the car, NISMO side skirts flow into subtle fender edge
trim allowing for wider NISMO LMGT4 wheels from RAYS that frame
Omori Factory R35 Brembo 380 mm brakes with six- and four-piston
calipers at the front and rear respectively. A bi-plane adjustable
carbon fiber rear spoiler with a subtle Gurney flap sits atop the
trunk lid. A NISMO GT carbon fiber diffuser sits between the
chassis and the road offering downforce with a minimum of drag.
While the interior might appear somewhat stock, the Omori changes
are numerous. It has been completely retrimmed in Black leather and
Alcantara. It features numerous NISMO parts including the seats, a
three-spoke sports steering wheel, shift knob, special 320 km/h
gauge cluster, pedals, Multi Function Display (MFD) upgrade, and
carbon fiber trimmed rear view mirror.
It is perhaps under the hood where the technical specification
truly shines. The twin-turbocharged straight-six is an upgraded R4
mill based on the R3, enlarged by 200 cc to 2.8 liters. Built on
the RB26DETT N1 block, the engine features a GT crankshaft and GT
connecting rods, oversized N1 pistons, R3 turbochargers, and a
NISMO ECU with the modification specification sheet showing the car
produces 465 horsepower at 6,800 rpm. The 2.8-liter R4 exhales
through a NISMO exhaust system and is surrounded in the engine bay
by a host of carbon fiber parts including a Z-tune air cleaner and
topped by a beautifully formed NISMO titanium front strut tower
bar. hlins DFV two-way adjustable suspension underpins the chassis
with NISMO stabilizer bars and NISMO Circuit Link Pro II suspension
arms tying it all together. Since emerging from the Omori Factory
this CRS V-Spec has traveled a scant 36 kilometers with the lack of
use evident by the multitude of plastic coverings that still cover
the interior. A host of documentation accompanies the car including
its original service book, NISMO inspection and disassembly sheet,
Omori Factory component warranty certificates, NISMO component
instruction sheets, and NISMO Omori Factory restoration
invoices.
The small series of GT-R Clubman Race Spec restorations are far
more than cosmetic refurbishments-each is a full-scale revival.
What emerges from Omori Factory is not merely a restored GT-R, but
a bespoke rendering of NISMO's philosophy. In the case of this
Black Pearl Metallic V-Spec it returns elevated performance to its
roots with factory-quality parts constructed by those passionate
artisans with respect for the lofty brand they represent and the
level of craftsmanship expected to stand the test of time.
