The '50 Olds 88 Custom sets the standard with a traditional look
with modern performance.
The 1950 Oldsmobile were completely restyled with new longer and
lower body shells with new one-piece wrap-around windshields. The
'50's became the car of choice of rodders of the day.
The build started with the frame and suspension upgrades. A Mustang
II front end with a modern rack-in-pinion. Upper and lower tubular
control arms, adjustable coil-over shocks / springs. The Olds has
state-of-the-art chassis and suspension components to provide
unmatched strength and handling.
The Oldsmobile emblems have been removed from the trunk and hood.
The rocket emblem also had to go allowing a gently reshaping the
hood and rear trunk. The taillights have very smooth new look
cleaning up the rear fenders to conform to the shape of the trunk.
The clean new body has just enough to improve the profile, and
gives an honored nod to the classic hot rods of the '50's.
Power from a 347ci (5.7L) V8 with a nice cam, and dual exhaust
gives that perfect rumble sound. The Hydra-Matic transmission are
built to take the horsepower. Stopping power from front disc and
rear drums get the job done!
The 50's preference is an aggressive stance, V8 engine, black paint
and a touch of chrome. The all-new red interior and three-spoke
steering wheel inject that flavor of a distinctive hot rod style.
The headliner has the chrome rib supports taking this interior to a
new level.
The wheel and tire combination of red steel rims, beauty rings, and
center caps further the Old's 50's style. A balance of tradition
meets modern technology to give the perfect blending.
It could be yours for $36,500.00!
This car is located Edmonds, Washington.
