INTRODUCTION: What a stunner! I'm guessing you won't find another
one with this color combo, and they work so well together. Nicely
upgraded with air conditioning, 4 wheel disc brakes, and a killer
stereo system that transform this classic to a bonafide cruiser.
Making things even better, you get the aesthetic of a GTO for about
half the price!
EXTERIOR: The Platinum paint has been neatly applied and has a
metallic flake that makes it shimmer in the sun. It is polished to
a slick and reflective finish. A black pinstripe down each side is
a nice accent. When looking down the side of the nice straight
body, you will notice smooth contours and crisp lines. The panels
have been painstakingly aligned with good gaps that are well above
average and the doors close easily with minimal effort. The builder
blacked out the grilles and added a steel GTO hood that just looks
so tough. The front and rear bumpers have been re-chromed and shine
like jewelry. The remaining brightwork including some that looks
original, all have a lustrous shine. The headlights have been
upgraded to nice and bright halogen units with an LED outer ring.
The windshield has been replaced. The tail lights and tail panel
appear to be good originals. The power black convertible top works
well and is in very nice condition. It's rolling on a very tasteful
set of 18 inch Boyd Coddington wheels that were color matched to
the car for a really slick look. They are wrapped in a good set of
radial tires.
INTERIOR: The light grey interior with black accents really looks
great with the Platinum paint. The front bucket seats were
reupholstered and look amazing. The rear bench seat and custom dash
pad were also recovered to match. The black door panels, lower
dash, and carpeting breaks up the monotony and looks so sharp. It
has a center console with storage and an automatic shifter. We
replaced the shifter slider. It also has the full set of Rallye
gauges including a tachometer. We replaced the oil and fuel gauges.
I love the machine turned gauge bezel. The highly upgraded pioneer
stereo has Bluetooth capabilities and a hands-free calling
microphone mounted on the a-pillar. Incorporated into the custom
molded door panels are extra speakers plus in the trunk you have 2
JL audio amplifiers and a 12 inch subwoofer. The power top works
great and we installed new sun visors. The floor mats with the
embroidered Pontiac logo are a very nice finishing touch.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: A 326 cubic inch V8 provides the power. It is
topped off with an Edelbrock aluminum carburetor and intake
manifold. She's been nicely dressed with a chrome GTO air cleaner,
valve covers, and a chrome Powermaster alternator too. It is well
equipped with a modern air conditioning system, power steering, and
power brakes. The master cylinder was upgraded to a Wilwood unit
and has fresh lines. The radiator was also upgraded to an aluminum
unit with a heavy duty seven blade clutch fan to keep it running
cool. The battery is properly secured and the horns are hooked up.
All the belts and hoses have been replaced. The underside of the
hood is nicely painted body color. The firewall and fenderwells are
neatly painted black.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The underside of the lid and jamb are painted
body color. The weather strip was replaced. Everything has been
nicely finished, boxed and upholstered with a carpeted floor. It's
equipped with two JL audio amplifiers and a 12 inch JL audio
subwoofer that are mounted flush in the panels.
UNDERSIDE: Underneath this car has been restored and maintained. It
appears to have had new floors put in and the frame is reinforced.
The steering and suspension has been rebuilt over time, we
inspected it and replaced a control arm bushing. It has air shocks
in the back. The brake system was upgraded with disc at all four
wheels and it has the e-brake assembly hooked up. We had the front
rotors cut. Nice sounding custom dual exhaust thanks to a crossover
pipe with Flowmaster mufflers and good looking polished stainless
tailpipes. Looking up at the motor and starter they are clean. It
was upgraded with a Turbo 350 automatic transmission.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to work it. This is so we can sell you
the best cars within reason.
CONCLUSION: So there you have it folks, a head turning muscle car
with killer looks and subtle custom touches that make you stand out
from the crowd, plus you won't drain the 401k. Can you feel the
wind in your hair already?
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed
within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific
vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view
it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be
refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
