Factory black on black, the final-year Z/28 hit the pavement with
tri-tone lower stripes that still set off the fender flares with
the right amount of muscle. This 1981 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 wears a
full repaint and carries the look with purpose, anchored by a set
of American Racing wheels-17" up front, 18" in the rear-wrapped in
225/50R17 and 245/45R18 rubber respectively. The factory air
induction hood and tinted T-tops give that iconic look, and a rear
spoiler rounds out the shape with intention. Minimal chrome trim
complements the stance without getting in the way.
Black bucket seats with cloth and vinyl contrast keep things true
to the trim code 19C, while the rest of the interior stays just as
committed. A console-mounted shifter, aftermarket center console,
and tilt column keep it driver-focused. Z/28 floor mats line the
footwells, and the dash is topped with a hard cover and
blue-backlit gauges. Vintage Air climate controls and a Pioneer CD
receiver with AUX and Bluetooth finish out the setup, backed by
deck-mounted 6x9s. Factory black interior and seatbelts front and
rear keep it uniform, and R134a air conditioning keeps it
comfortable.
Power comes from a small block 350 V8 with aluminum heads and a
Holley Street Avenger 4-barrel carb on an Edelbrock intake. The T5
5-speed transmission keeps things analog, paired to long tube
headers and dual Thrush mufflers that route the exhaust. Chrome
valve covers, serpentine belt system, and a trunk-mounted battery
clean up the engine bay. Power steering and 4-wheel power disc
brakes are on board, and the suspension setup stays classic-A-arms
and coils up front, leaf springs and sway bar in the rear.
