With just 10,741 miles since the build, this 1970 Pontiac Firebird
Restomod wears a custom Phantom Grey finish blended with a touch of
pearl for extra depth. Color-matched bumpers and blacked-out chrome
sharpen the look, while sport mirrors, front and rear spoilers, and
HID headlights add an aggressive edge. It sits on 18" Ridler wheels
wrapped in 235/45ZR18 front and 275/40ZR18 rear tires, giving it a
precise, level stance. Tinted glass completes the exterior with a
uniform, modern presence.
The interior sticks to its roots with correct code 218 black, then
takes a sharp detour with upgrades like ProCar bucket seats and a
Lecarra steering wheel. A full set of AutoMeter Sport-Comp gauges
are mounted cleanly in the dash, and a B&M Quick Silver shifter
commands the console. Vintage Air A/C is integrated with
factory-style vents, and an Alpine AM/FM/CD/AUX/USB/Bluetooth head
unit handles audio duties. The cabin is tight and well-dressed,
with seat belts and tinted windows finishing off the details.
A 400 V8 forms the foundation of the powertrain, paired with
Edelbrock aluminum heads, a mild performance cam, and Competition
roller rockers. A Holley 750 carburetor and Hooker long tube
headers feed a dual FlowMaster exhaust. The power runs through a
Stage 3 BP Transmissions TH200-4R 4-speed automatic and out back to
a 10-bolt rear with 3.73 posi-traction. CPP hydroboost handles the
disc brakes at all four corners. Suspension is fully overhauled
with RideTech tubular control arms, QA-1 coilovers, a 1.5-inch
front sway bar, and a RideTech 4-link rear with HQ adjustable
coilovers. Global West subframe connectors tie it all together.
