1953 Lancia Aurelia B20 GT Series III, S/N 2686, Medium grey over original grey wool upholstery. 2.5 liter V6 with floor mounted shifter controlling a 4-speed transmission. The legendary B20 needs little introduction but this model dominated motorsports for years: 1951 – 2nd in class 24 Hours of LeMans, 2nd overall in Miglia Mille 1952 – First 3 places in the Targa Florio 1953 - 1st at Lieges-Rome-Lieges and another 1/2/3 finish at the Coppa della Toscana 1954 – 1st at Monte Carlo Rally. These impressive wins made this car of choice for Europe’s famous and sporting crowd and is as stylish as its Italian owners were at the time. The B20 was also the world’s first production car with a V6 motor. This car, #2686 was found in Lecce, Italy and restored in Europe before coming to the USA in 2012. We have pictures of the bare metal restoration and motor/gearbox rebuild. Believed to be only 3 owners from new with no known period racing history. Matching numbers motor. Converted from column shift to floor shift. The interior, headliner, rubber floor mats and glass are original. The current owner whom imported this B20 from Europe has successfully participated in 7 Colorado Grand rallies over the years from 2014 to 2024 and he kept detailed notebooks on all activity he did with his cherished Lancia, including having his in-house man do a top-end engine rebuild this year. Now is the time for this Italian legend to find a new caretaker that can go stir up more decades of fun and rallying!
