The 1982 Corvette Collector Edition marked the end of the C3
generation and the introduction of new technologies. It was a
special model featuring unique silver-beige paint, bronze-tinted
glass T-tops, cloisonne emblems, and special wheels. A notable
feature was the rear glass hatchback, a first for the C3.
Some of the key features for the 1982 Collector Edition are the
unique silver-beige paint, graduated gray decals and striping,
bronze-tinted glass T-tops, finned cast-aluminum wheels, and
cloisonne emblems.
The interior is Silver-beige leather upholstery, leather-wrapped
steering wheel, leather-trimmed door panels, and extra-plush
carpeting.
This was the first Corvette with a rear glass hatchback for
exterior access to the storage area.
Only 6,759 Collector Editions were produced, representing about 26%
of the 1982 production.
