1965 PONTIAC GTO CONVERTIBLE PHS DOCUMENTED, TRIPOWER, 4-SPEED!
This 1965 GTO has THE look!! The bright red exterior color, it has
a newer white power convertible top. The stainless and brightwork
has been replaced with new or polished like new. The front and rear
bumpers have been rechromed. It has newer weather stripping and
seals. It rides on a set of factory Rally 1 wheels wrapped with a
set of new Hankook 205/75/14 white wall radial tires for that
original look it deserves. The engine compartment is nicely
detailed. Everything is nicely detailed starting with a
date-correct 389 ci engine with casting number 9778789, date code
E145 and WT suffix code. It has been upgraded with a tri-power
set-up and power steering ,power brakes. It features chrome valve
covers, 4-core Harrison radiator and the correct clutch fan. It
also has been upgraded with a newer cadmium plated power brake
booster and new master cylinder. The engine bay is painted and has
a black satin finish. The black bucket seat interior is in good
shape. In between the bucket seats it has a factory four speed
console with a vacuum gauge and a factory four speed shifter coming
out of it. The dash has a nice painted finish. Looking at the dash,
it has the optional rally gauges and tach. It has a retro AM/FM
radio. The door panels, front armrest bases, window cranks and door
handles have been replaced. There are front and rear seat belts,
factory wood steering wheel and factory Pontiac floor mats. The
undercarriage is all clean metal and appears to be all original
floors. The floor is painted with a black satin finish. The bottom
of the motor is clean. The Muncie transmission is clean. The brakes
have been gone through. The rear end is a 3:23. It has a dual
exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers that run all the way to the
back featuring factory style splitter exhaust tips on both sides,
newer gas tank and straps. The E-brake is all complete and working.
This is a very impressive undercarriage. The trunk is very nicely
detailed with a light coat of gray spatter paint. It has a trunk
mat, spare tire cover, jack assembly and newer trunk weather
stripping. This is a nice, 1965 GTO! It's the right color with the
