Vehicle Description
Chassis No. 83622
Hand-built in Germany by Porsche enthusiast and designer Bernd
Pennewitz, this exquisitely detailed 1:2.3 scale 356 Speedster is
far more than a toy-it's a tribute to one of Porsche's most iconic
designs, recreated with remarkable precision and craftsmanship.
Conceived at Pennewitz's 120-year-old farmhouse workshop in
Ldersfeld, each example is constructed under license from Dr. Ing.
h.c. F. Porsche AG.
This miniature 356 features a silver-painted hand-laminated
fiberglass body paired with a chassis made of aluminum and special
steel. Powered by a 24-volt electric drivetrain with functional
gears (two forward, one reverse), it delivers speeds from 5 to 17
mph depending on rider size. Chrome-plated hardware, gold
"Speedster" badging, and a real wooden steering wheel are standard,
along with working lights, and pneumatic tires for a surprisingly
refined driving experience. While originally created for children,
the Pennewitz 356 Speedster has won over as many adult collectors
as well, with many purchasing them as bespoke companions to their
full-scale 356s. This example includes an adjustable seat and a
24-volt charger.
Delivered in December 2004, chassis number 83622 is the 22nd car
produced. According to research, it is believed that approximately
50 356 Speedsters were produced during Bernd Pennewitz's life. It
is offered with its original Driver's Manual which outlines
operations along with detailing its delivery date of December 2004,
original color of Aluminum RAL 9006, serial number, and key
ignition number.
A charming, hand-built evocation of Porsche's golden era, the
Pennewitz Speedster blends artistry and engineering in a way few
miniature vehicles ever have. Built in limited numbers, these
scaled-down classics are increasingly sought after by both child
enthusiasts and collectors worldwide making them timeless objets
d'art for enthusiasts of all ages!
