INTRODUCTION: This AMX is killer! Extremely rare factory blue with platinum interior, stunning! It is full of highly desirable options from air conditioning to the Sidewinder exhaust. It is very nicely restored, a pile of docs are included. It even earned an American Motors Owner's Senior Division plaque.

In the late 60s American Motors jumped into the performance car market with a daring model called the AMX. AMX refers to American Motors eXperimental. Other than the Corvette it was America's only 2 seater sports car and it was $1,000 less. Known for its short wheelbase, shorter than the Corvette, and impressive handling. When ordered with the 390 it was no slouch in the mile either!

EXTERIOR: The unique design was advanced for its time, it featured assertive lines and a sharp profile. This body is exceptionally clean, it was a California /Arizona car in its early years. It's arrow straight and fits right, doors shut like new. The factory Regatta Blue has a slick finish. The actual paint formula will be included in case you need touch up down the road. The metallic is laid out evenly and the clear is polished smooth. Taking it one step further are the silver stripes and color matched bumpers! Good original glass. I love the Sidewinder exhaust!

The wheels are painted body color with argent silver spokes and they are wearing BFG sneakers.

INTERIOR: Factory Platinum interior, 1 of only 733 made! It looks amazing with the blue accents. It's a reproduction Legendary interior and overall everything looks very good. It has a correct headliner in very nice shape too. The dash area is clean, it has an AMX embroidered dash cover preserving the nice dash pad. The steering wheel is in excellent shape. The carpet front to back was replaced and it has embroidered mats. It has a full set of gauges including a tachometer, Rally Pack (oil, amp & clock) and a vacuum gauge. It also features an AM/FM stereo, deluxe wheel on a tilt column and a center console. All the interior lights work.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Detailed motor compartment and it's packed full of goodies! At the heart of it is its correct and rebuilt 390 motor. The casting code and tag on the valve cover match it to this car. It was rebuilt with a Reed cam and it has the rare dealer installed Edelbrock R4B intake, upgraded with a Demon carb. It also features factory air conditioning, the compressor has been replaced and we recently charged the system. It also features optional power steering and power brakes. The motor is detailed real nice, the valve covers are rechromed, the air cleaner was restored and still has the heat riser tube. It's complete with a restored wiper motor, windshield washer bag, hood insulation, battery hold down etc. The engine bay is all clean metal painted very nicely.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid, the jamb and inside the trunk is all painted beautiful blue. The mat, weatherstrip and decals have been replaced. It includes the collapsible spare with the inflator bottle and jack. It also includes a car cover.

UNDERSIDE: It is very clean and proper under this car. I'm most impressed with the metal floors and frame rails, they look to be 100% original and rust free. They've been cleaned and dusted with some black paint to look fresh. The steering and suspension has been rebuilt as needed and in excellent shape, it has upgraded quick ratio steering, front and rear sway bars. The brake lines and hoses have been replaced, e-brake is hooked up and it has disc in front. Looking up at the motor and the starter they are both clean. It has the correct correct Shift Command automatic transmission. The rear end has been serviced.

SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and hired a team of technicians to work it. This is so we can sell you the best cars within reason.

CONCLUSION: This AMX checks the boxes! It's rare, it's clean, it's loaded, and it's gorgeous!
