Are you searching for a classic Chevrolet El Camino that can win awards at your local automotive events, but also one that can be driven & enjoyed without having to worry about reliability? I think that we might just have the one you have been searching for!
‘Red Hills Rods & Classics’ is very happy to offer you this beautiful 1972 Chevrolet El Camino Custom! A lot of time & money went into creating this incredible ’72 El Camino, and it really shows! Originally a Van Nuys, California built El Camino, with a 350ci 4-barrel L48 motor, the body was in excellent condition from the start requiring very little work having to be done to prepare it for the restoration. A small amount of rust repair was done, and all of the body panels were gently massaged and correctly aligned. A Super Sport hood was added w/ polished Billet Quick-Lock hood latches, which looks excellent. The body was then lathered in its factory original shade of Pewter Silver Poly (Code 14), which has a beautiful bright shiny appearance throughout. The bumpers & stainless-steel trim are in excellent condition, and the bed area was finished in Zolaton splatter coating.
The body sits on the original stock frame, and lots of premium upgrades were done to make this El Camino drive just as good as she looks. The front suspension upgrades include: Speedtech Performance tubular upper & lower A-arms, front sway bar, Viking coilover dual-valve shocks, and CCP Corvette spindles w/ Corvette hubs. The rear suspension includes Speedtech Performance tubular upper & lower 4-link kit, Pro-touring sway bar, and Viking coilover dual-valve shocks. The brakes were upgraded w/ a KORE3 big brake conversion, drilled & slotted C5/C6 Corvette front & rear disc brakes, Wilwood polished master cylinder & proportioning valve, and a Hydroboost assist system w/ PCS reservoir. She rolls on 18” Boyd Coddington Junkyard Dog wheels (18” x 8”) wrapped in Nitto Motivo tires (255/45/18 on the rear & 245/45/18 up front). You can walk around this El Camino a hundred times and it looks beautiful from every angle.
