This 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is a highly desirable Super Cobra
Jet, featuring a Ford replacement 428ci SCJ V8 assembled one month
after the car's original build date. While not numbers-matching,
the engine does contain date-code-correct Super Cobra Jet cylinder
heads and intake manifold. Power is delivered through a
date-code-correct close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission and a
correct Detroit Locker rear end.Originally equipped with a 4.30
rear gear, the car is currently running a 3.50 gear set,
significantly improving drivability and making the car far more
street-friendly while retaining its original rear-end
assembly.Finished in Medium Blue Metallic with black Mach 1
striping, the car is complemented by a Blue Knit Vinyl Mach 1
interior with bucket seats and factory woodgrain trim. The body
presents as very solid and rust-free, showing no evidence of
previous rust repair?an increasingly rare attribute for a 1970
Mustang.Factory and performance features include Ram Air induction,
front and rear spoilers, rear window louvers, power front disc
brakes, power steering, factory quick-ratio steering, a heavy-duty
cooling package, dual exhaust, and 15-inch Argent-style steel
wheels.Originally ordered through Carl Beasley Ford of York,
Pennsylvania, the car is believed to have been repainted in the
1980s. While the paint is driver-quality and not show-level, it
presents well and underscores the car's authenticity and
originality. In my opinion, fresh paint and selective interior
detailing would elevate this Mach 1 to an exceptional level without
compromising its character. The car runs, drives, and brakes well,
as demonstrated in the provided videos.Believed to be one of only
64 1970 Mach 1s produced with the 428 Super Cobra Jet and 4.30 rear
gearing. The car was recently acquired by the selling dealer out of
Florida and is accompanied by a Marti Report and a clean Indiana
title.?? Call us at 317-462-7705 to schedule your appointment or
