This is a Z07-7 Speed. There is a huge following for this option
corvette becausethe C7 Z06 with the Z07 Package and aa manual
transmission isbetter for driver engagement, especially in 0-60 mph
sprints and on a track.Some say the Z07 manual transmission C7 Z06
is one of the last fast engaging cars to drive and books out at 2.6
seconds for 0-60mph. There is a huge following for the Z07 Optioned
7-speed. This Z06 also has all the equipment, look at the options
above, over $113k original window sticker. The Z07 stick is
extremely hard to find there are only a handful available online
across the country on all the platforms.
There were only 650of these 2016 Corvette Z06 C7.R Editions ever
made. All of them were built to honorthe race car version, the
C7.R, that ran in endurance events like Le Mans and Sebring. The
C7.R Edition came in either Corvette Racing Yellow or Black, both
with matching accents, black wheels with yellow stripe details, and
C7.R graphics on the sides. Under the car,it had the Z07
performance package, which included big carbon ceramic brakes, a
full aero kit, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. The carbon
fiber ground effects matched what was seen on the real race cars
that made the 24 hour Lemans Trip.
The C7.Rhas competition sport seats, suede steering wheel and shift
knob, and a specific number assignedshowing the special edition
number out of the 650built. The cabin also had yellow stitching,
suede inserts, and a lot of carbon fiber trim. All cars were fully
loaded from the factory with every available option-this included
the performance data recorder, navigation, Bose sound system, and
heads-up display.
The engine was the same 6.2L supercharged LT4 V8 as the regular
Z06, making 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. Buyers
could choose either a 7-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic. The
drivetrain had magnetic ride control, electronic limited-slip
differential, and a dry sump oil system. This version was basically
a track-prepped car with a VIN, designed to give people a version
of the C7.R race car they could register to drive on the road
street legal and drive home to park in the garage.
