Suicide doors open wide on this 1940 Ford Tudor Streetrod finished
in purple and beige paint with pink pinstriping that flows across
the bodywork. Single-piece windshield eliminates the center divider
while shaved door handles create clean lines along the flanks.
Integrated front turn signals blend seamlessly into the nose, and
frenched tail lights plus frenched license plate complete the
custom touches. Rolling on 15" Billet Specialties wheels, 195/65R15
front tires pair with aggressive 31X18.50-15LT rear rubber.
Beige leather bucket seats anchor the cabin alongside a column
shifter and custom dash painted to match the exterior purple.
White-faced Pro-Comp gauges monitor vital functions while chrome
steering column supports an aftermarket steering wheel. Custom
headliner includes overhead storage and lighting, with power
windows, power locks, and power seats adding convenience. Air
conditioning keeps things cool, and AM/FM/AUX stereo provides
entertainment though currently inoperative. Tilt wheel and
seatbelts round out the interior appointments.
Edelbrock dual 4-barrel carburetors feed the 350 V8 engine paired
with a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission. Ford 9" rear axle
handles power transfer while independent front suspension and
ladder bars with coilovers control the chassis. Four-wheel power
disc brakes feature ported and slotted rotors for stopping power.
Shorty headers connect to dual exhaust with Hushpower mufflers, and
power steering assists with navigation. Remote door openers operate
the suicide doors, while dual batteries mount in the trunk.
