Vehicle Description
Cruisin Classics is pleased to present to you this one-of-a-kind
1950 Chevrolet 3100. This Advanced Design Series patina truck just
oozes cool factor, and it's outfitted with custom upgrades that
will make it stand out in any crowd. The body of the truck is
primarily blue with many shades of patina colors adding contrast.
This raw look is contrasted by professional pinstriping with a
recurring spiderweb theme in a mix of colors on all body panels. On
the bulbous hood, you'll find a chrome hood ornament and a
Chevrolet bowtie badge at the front lip. Beneath that is a white
painted 5-bar horizontal grille flanked by round headlights in
bright bezels. Both the front and rear bumpers are aged chrome
bumpers with scuffs and pitting. Looking up at the cab, you'll
notice a split windshield with a bright divider bar, dual chrome
side mirrors, and a white patina roof. It should be noted that
there are no wiper arms present, making this a fair-weather cruiser
only. The side view of this Chevy is accented by blue steel wheels
with bowtie logo moon caps and beauty rings - all wrapped in Coker
American Classic white-wall tires - a perfect choice for this
truck. At the rear is a rustic wood bed with blue dividers and a
gas fill (relocated tank). The tailgate features white patina'd
CHEVROLET lettering and chain & hook closures. Making this 3100
even cooler is the air-ride system that allows you to set the
stance exactly the way you'd like it with the push of a button - it
will quickly go from comfortable ride height to "slammed", or
anything in between, thanks to dual ViAir compressors.
Under the big, rounded hood is a fresh ZZ6 crate engine that's
guaranteed to get your blood pumping faster. The hearty V-8 is
topped off with aluminum Chevy heads, black Chevrolet logo valve
covers, an Edelbrock Performer 4-barrel carburetor and intake, and
an orange air cleaner with more custom pinstriping in the spiderweb
motif. Other highlights include a rebuilt radiator, power steering,
and headers that lead back to glass-pack mufflers that produce a
signature rumble that's sure to turn heads. The engine is mated up
to a new TCI Streetfighter automatic transmission and torque
converter that send power to the rear via a 10-bolt rear axle.
Stopping power is provided by power front disc and rear drum brakes
(brake booster is underneath on a frame rail). The engine bay
itself is black, clean, and organized - you'll be proud to open the
hood at any car show.
Swing open the driver's door to reveal a highly customized interior
that you'll be proud to show off anytime, anywhere! The bench seat
is a real eye-popper - the seat and lower back are covered in tuck
& roll black naugahyde sparkle vinyl while the upper back is a tan
vinyl with spiderweb stitching. This same combination of materials
graces the door panels for a cohesive look. Brand new high-quality
black carpet covers the floor,s and overhead is a black felt
headliner in good condition. Rising up from a black naugahyde
sparkle boot on the floor is a shifter for the automatic
transmission with a black shift ball. Keeping with the sparkle
theme, the driver is treated to a matching half-wrap 3-spoke
steering wheel with a working horn on a tilt column. As cool as
everything looks already, it's the original-style dash covered with
custom artwork that really steals the show! It's crazy, colorful,
whimsical, and just downright cool! Ahead of the driver, there are
a pair of Dakota Digita RTX gauges that look spectacular when
illuminated. They offer a 120mph speedometer (sweep and digital), a
tachometer, a display screen, and gauges for fuel, temp, oil
pressure, and battery. The odometer reads 346 miles, and we believe
that's the mileage since all the work was done on the truck. In the
center of the dash, there is an AM/FM radio that's currently
inoperative. On the bench seat, you'll find a hand-held remote that
operates the air-ride system, and in the glovebox is an instruction
manual for the Dakota Digital gauges. In keeping with the rustic
nature of the truck, there is no heat or A/C.
If you're looking for an old-school truck that's fast, fun, and
definitely like no other, your search is now over! This '50 Chevy
3100 makes a statement wherever it goes! Although rustic and
patina'd, this truck offers power steering, power front disc
brakes, air-ride suspension, and a brand new V-8 paired with a new
transmission (both first-rate!). Call our friendly staff today
because this cool 3100 may not be here tomorrow!
