Silverado. This truck has seen some serious improvements over the
last few years. Originally a silver truck with a six cylinder
engine, this Chevy is a whole different beast now. This Silverado
now sports a Copper Metallic paint job in very presentable driver
condition. The cowl hood and the tailgate spoiler were both treated
to silver racing stripes that are a perfect accent to the copper
paint. Up front you'll find a two-tier cross-hatch grille flanked
by crystal-clear headlamp assemblies. The star of the show from a
side view are definitely the 22" chrome Centerline snowflake wheels
all wrapped in Goodyear Eagle Touring tires (2020) - they look just
perfect on this truck! Visible through the wheels on all four
corners are red calipers for the power disc brakes. Tinted glass,
dual body-colored side mirrors, and bright door handles all add to
the cool look. At the rear of the truck is a nice black vinyl
tonneau cover that sits above a Rhino-Lined bed with a full spare
tire. Exhaust exits through two chrome tips behind the passenger
rear tire. A quick look underneath reveals a very clean
undercarriage with fresh black paint and a new Speed Engineering 3"
dual exhaust system.
Lift the hood to discover that the old 6-cylinder engine has been
replaced with a fresh Gen 4 6.0 liter LS that's sure to put a smile
on your face. The engine bay is clean and organized - just as you'd
expect. Some highlights include power steering, power brakes, A/C,
dual electric radiator fans, a new Melling oil pump, and a Spectre
air cleaner. The big V-8 is mated up to the factory 5-speed manual
transmission and 10-bolt rear axle - a combination that will
definitely get your heart beating faster!
The good looks and amenities continue inside the cab of this
Silverado. The grey interior is in very good condition with
manually adjustable cloth bucket seats separated by a large center
console. The console offers an armrest/storage box, cup-holders, a
couple of storage slots, and a Hurst shifter with white pattern
ball and black boot for the 5-speed transmission. The drivers door
is equipped with controls for power windows, locks, and mirrors.
Good quality dark grey carpet lines the floors while a tight grey
felt headliner covers the ceiling. A working overhead courtesy
light illuminates the scene. The driver is treated to an
aftermarket black and chrome half-wrap steering wheel with a
working horn on a tilt column. The turn signal stalk does
triple-duty with controls for intermittent wipers and cruise
control. You'll find an added surprise when you turn on the turn
signals - they also activate arrow indicators that appear in the
glass of the side mirrors. The steering wheel fronts a crack-free
dash with a faux grey wood surround for the gauge and accessory
area. Directly ahead of the driver are a speedometer, tachometer,
and gauges for fuel, temp, oil, and battery. To the right are an
AM/FM/CD/Cassette stereo and easy to use HVAC controls that crank
out hot heat and cold A/C with a strong fan. Ahead of the passenger
is a grab-handle that's part of the dash and an empty glovebox.
This 2004 Chevrolet Silverado really checks all the boxes - great
exterior looks and color combo, tonneau cover, lined bed, 6.0 LS
swap, 5-speed manual transmission, power 4-wheel disc brakes, cold
