1973 Pimento Red TR-6, 77,300 miles. In good condition, driven a one or two times a month around town and occasionally longer drives. Always gets waves and thumbs up. It has been garaged and maintained by British car mechanics during the 18 years/8,000 miles that I have owned it. Repairs and replacements done during that time include but are not limited to the following: new seats, new seat belts, new convertible top, brakes (rotors, pads, master and slave cylinders), new fuel pump, replaced U joint, replaced alternator, replaced gas tank, replaced radiator, reinstalled an original cooling fan blade in place of aftermarket electric fan, new tires (@ 75,000 miles), plus all usual maintenance and repairs.
While the body is in good shape from a rust standpoint there were a couple of small rust holes in the driver’s side floor pan that have metal patches. The car was repainted in the original factory color 2 owners ago (25+/- years ago based on what I was told when I bought it.) and on close inspection this paint is beginning to show its’ age, with some spider webs and chipping. The interior trim and carpeting is clean, free of rips, etc. but also showing its’ age a bit. The aftermarket radio/cassette player is not working, and the car is missing the radio antenna. A new car cover is included.
This is a fun car that that can be proudly driven and enjoyed “as is”; new paint and interior trim would certainly take it up to the next level.
