Vehicle Description
Chassis No. ZFFBV55A930131975
Unveiled in 2002 as Ferrari's latest premium V12 grand tourer, the
575M Maranello combined Pininfarina's classic berlinetta
proportions with subtle aerodynamic refinements-reshaped front
intakes, underbody fairings, and a reprofiled spoiler-to enhance
downforce while preserving the 550's elegant silhouette. Power came
from an enlarged 5,748-cc, 65-degree V12 with revised cam timing,
an elevated 11.0:1 compression ratio, and dry-sump lubrication,
yielding 508 horsepower at 7,250 rpm and 434 lb-ft of torque,
propelling the coupe to a factory-claimed 202 mph.
The 575 Modificato's most significant advancement was the
integration of Ferrari's F1-derived gearbox featuring
electrohydraulic clutch operation and paddle shifters-marking the
debut of this technology in a road-going V12 Ferrari. The system
provided two primary operating modes: Sport and Normal (with an
additional Low Grip setting). These modes also influenced the
adaptive damping system, which offered both Sport and Comfort
configurations. Sport mode delivered firmer suspension
characteristics and rapid 80-millisecond damper response, while
Comfort mode provided a smooth, compliant ride.
This left-hand drive, North American-specification 575M Maranello
presents in its stunning original Nero (Black) paintwork-verified
by recent paint meter readings-complemented by sumptuous Nero
leather featuring optional Rosso (Red) contrast piping. The window
sticker reveals desirable options including distinctive Scuderia
Ferrari fender shields, 19-inch modular wheels, and the coveted
Fiorano Handling Package. This performance enhancement equipped the
berlinetta with reinforced suspension components, an enlarged
anti-roll bar, and red-finished brake calipers, plus recalibrated
damping and speed-sensitive steering systems. Originally delivered
through Ferrari Maserati of Dallas, this exceptional example has
remained within Texas for the vast majority of its life, cherished
by a single owner until 2024. In early 2025, the Ferrari joined
only its second private caretaker, where it would share garage
space with a number of other significant Ferraris.
Presented today with fewer than 8,000 original miles in remarkable,
unaltered condition, this well-optioned 575M Maranello comes
complete with its original window sticker, purchase documentation,
owner's manuals housed in their factory leather folio, tool kit,
tire inflator, both sets of keys, and a factory car cover set with
seat covers and a steering wheel cover.
Mechanically, the 575M benefited from a comprehensive service
conducted by DriverSource in Houston, Texas, in late 2024. This
work encompassed a timing belt and water pump replacement, mounting
fresh Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, installing a new battery, a
TPMS sensor replacement, and radio repairs by Becker Auto Sound,
LLC. Additional diagnostic service was completed in October 2024 at
Ferrari of Houston showing 7,750 miles.
The Ferrari 575M Maranello refined the front-engine V12 formula
with significant mechanical and aesthetic enhancements over its
predecessor. This collector-grade example, with fewer than 100
miles traveled since its last major service, is ready to reward its
next owner with unfettered grand-touring performance.
