Vehicle Description
In 1980, GMC didn't build many of these. This vehicle is a
Caballero finished in Cream, holding onto the square-body lines and
proportions that made it stand out in its own quiet way. The
button-down vinyl bed cover gives it a clean, tailored finish out
back. It sits on 14-inch steel wheels wrapped in P205/75R14 tires,
keeping everything period-correct and well-matched to its
design.
The tan cloth interior brings a bench seat with column steering and
faux wood trim across the dash and cluster surround. A B&M
floor shifter has been added for a more involved feel and better
control. The AM/FM CD stereo with Bluetooth handles the audio, and
power steering is equipped. Interior layout remains functional,
straightforward, and honest to the truck's roots.
A 305 V8 sends power through a 3-speed automatic transmission, with
a carburetor managing fuel delivery. True dual exhaust deletes the
original Y-pipe and catalytic setup for a more direct flow.
Suspension consists of factory-style components up front, leaf
springs in the rear, and a 10-bolt rear axle. Power disc brakes
handle braking duties up front.
