Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1981 Chevrolet Corvette.
Finished in Charcoal Metallic over silver grey leather interior,
this C3 presents as an attractive driver overall. Fiberglass body
is in excellent condition aside from minor damage to the left front
fender; paint quality is good throughout with only a few minor
flaws. Factory 15-inch aluminum slot mags are wearing BF Goodrich
radials with 2022 date codes and nearly full-depth tread remaining.
Excellent frame with no known rust.
Interior shows well with minor normal wear typical of age; all
gauges, lights, wipers and power windows are working properly.
Horn, stereo, power seat and power door locks are inop. A/C has
been converted to R134a and will blow cold for a few days with a
recharge, but has a slow leak. Glass t-tops are in excellent
shape.
Unlike prior years which offered a variety of engine options, in
1981 the only engine available in a Corvette was the "L81" 350
cubic inch V8 rated at 190 horsepower. It's mated to a TH350
automatic transmission. This 'Vette starts easily and runs and
drives great. With undeniably good looks (and candidly better
driving dynamics than a C1 or C2) a late C3 is the most affordable
point of entry for Corvette ownership.
