Vehicle Description
This Sedan DeVille is a long time resident here in the Traverse
City area, living in just two counties its entire life. We have the
original sales order when purchased new from Chet Swanson here in
Traverse City in 1974 along with the original checks and receipts
used to pay for it. It also has the original owners manuals and
some receipts for parts. I believe the paint to be largely original
along with the interior. All lights and gauges work as they should,
it starts, runs and goes down the road very nicely. The DeVille is
a model name used by Cadillac over eight generations, originally to
designate a trim level. The fourth generation of the DeVille was
built from 1971 through 1976 and would set a record for Interior
size up to that. Also, a piece of trivia....In 1974, Cadillac
introduced an optional "Air Cushion Restraint System"....Otherwise
known as an airbag. However, the option was expensive and therefore
unpopular with customers and was discontinued after the 1976 model
year and would not be offered again until 1990 when they started to
become more standard. This Cadillac has some minor surface rust
bubbles and blemishes in the paint as pictured as well as surface
rust on the underside of the car, pretty typical stuff for survivor
cars of this era. We welcome any questions or third party
