Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 26th year in the
classic and muscle car business. In 1932 Ford Motor Company
cornered the still embryonic American performance market with the
introduction of their V8 engine. Although it was not the first V8,
it was mass produced and offered at a price that the average worker
could afford. This stalwart engine had been continually improved,
so by the time Eugene Bob Gregorie penned the beautiful lines for
the 1940 Ford, an instant classic was born. This beautiful 1940
Ford Deluxe Business Coupe is a fine example of these prewar gems
that retains its classic styling while sporting some tasteful
upgrades that improve safety, comfort, and performance. Beneath the
graceful hood is a 350 V8 that's been fortified with an Edelbrock
carburetor, a JEGS aluminum intake manifold, headers, HEI, and a
Champion aluminum radiator with shroud and electric fan. Additional
features include front disc brakes, a Vintage Air A/C system, a
Tremec 5-speed manual transmission, Ford 9 rear end, dual exhaust,
an AM radio, original-type corduroy cloth upholstery,12-volt
conversion, seatbelts, an auxiliary temperature gauge, and wide
whitewall tires (235/70R16) wrapped around steel wheels with Deluxe
caps and beauty rings. This sweetheart has no trouble at modern
highway speeds as you cruise in air conditioned comfort. And check
out the size of that Business Coupe trunk; I think I could pack
enough clothes for 6 months of travel! One more classy classic from
the team that can make your dream a reality. Street Dreams
(830-997-1950) is a full service dealership that can assist with
worldwide delivery, insurance, and financing options.
