The revolutionary Porsche 914 was the car that many say saved the
Porsche brand. This awesome partnership with VW gave Porsche a
significant shot in the arm for production, sales and profit so
they could continue to develop and support their 911 brand on the
race course and on the sales floor.
Very pleased to present this incredible 1973 Porsche 914 2.0L for
your consideration. Sold new out of Mossner Porsche-Audi in Madison
Wisconsin on April 2nd 1973 and delivered on April 4th 1973 to Mr
Christensen. Vehicle was optioned from the factory with the 2.0L,
tinted windows, Bilstein shocks and return antenna and then had the
dealer install Ziebart protection and AM/FM radio.
This 914 is highly documented with service records dating back to
day one and thru the three previous owners. Vehicle is in
remarkable condition and it is very evident that the owners truly
enjoyed this car and gave it the love it deserves.
Today the Bahia Red paint is in remarkable condition and the black
vinyl/leather interior is in great condition. Vehicle runs very
well with plenty of power and shifts through the 5spd manual with
joy. Dual Weber 40 IDF carbs were added and are set up nicely with
the electronic ignition. Sebring exhaust was also added recently
that gives the car a nice sound as you get higher in the revs.
This car is ready for enjoyment and would place very well at any
car show and has a ton of originality that even the Porsche club
members would respect. This car was done properly and cared
for.
Vehicle comes with a clean Michigan title, Porsche manuals,
original bill of sale, huge 3 ring binder of records and receipts
nicely organized and labeled.
These are only going up in value each year and finding one that has
such a great history and so well preserved is becoming very
difficult. This is a no excuse car that will be enjoyed for years
and a huge dividend for the next owner.
