Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 26th year in the
classic and muscle car business. With 8 generations covering a span
of 72(!) years, every generation of the Chevrolet Corvette is
coveted, driven, and collected by all types of enthusiasts for
various reasons. When pressed, however, most of these people would
place the C2 (2nd Gen. 1963-1967) at the pinnacle of the Corvette
hierarchy. When Americans first saw these Sting Rays in the fall of
1962 it was as if something had landed from another planet! This
nasty 1966 Sting Ray Coupe is a fine representative of the fire
breathing big block Sting Rays that struck fear in the hearts of
street racers everywhere. Beneath the functional big block hood is
a 496 V8 that's been fortified with aluminum heads, a Holley fuel
injection system, a Winters foundry aluminum intake manifold, an
aluminum radiator, and wild stainless steel Doug's
headers/sidepipes. Additional features include power steering,
Wilwood power 4-wheel disc brakes with hydroboost, power windows,
Vintage Air A/C, a rebuilt 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission
with O/D, supple red leather upholstery, 4-link rear suspension,
C4-type front suspension with lightweight composite transverse leaf
spring, factory AM/FM radio, and humungous tires (255/35R18 F,
315/35R20 R) wrapped around Foose alloy wheels. Not for the faint
of heart, this beast sounds as nasty as it is fast. If this
slightly sinister Sting Ray is your kind of wild, call the Texas
Hill Country's premier source for classic cars and the team that
can make your dream a reality. Street Dreams (830-997-1950) is a
full service dealership that can assist with worldwide delivery,
insurance, and financing options.
