To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Porsche Design-the studio
founded by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche in 1972 and renowned for its
high-end accessories and industrial design-Porsche introduced a
limited-edition 911 Targa 4 GTS based on the 992 generation. Dubbed
the "Edition 50 Years Porsche Design," the car draws heavily from
the design language of Porsche Design's first product, the 1972
Chronograph I wristwatch. Finished in optional Jet Black Metallic
with a satin Platinum Targa bar that echoes the watch's black dial
and metallic accents, the car rides on staggered 20- and 21-inch
911 Turbo S wheels, also in satin Platinum. Additional exterior
features include subtle "Porsche Design" side stripes along the
doors, high-gloss Black brake calipers, a rear "Porsche Design 50th
Anniversary" badge, and a blacked-out "911" emblem on the rear
apron.
Inside, the retro-modern aesthetic continues with Black leather
upholstery accented by Slate Grey contrast stitching, Slate Grey
seat belts, and Sport-Tex seat inserts in Black and Cool Grey.
Standard equipment includes 18-way power-adjustable Adaptive Sport
Seats Plus with memory and the Sport Chrono Package-its red seconds
hand a nod to the original Chronograph I. Unique interior elements
such as "Porsche Design 50th Anniversary" logos embossed into the
headrests, commemorative aluminum door sills, and a silver numbered
"911" plaque on the dashboard distinguish the cabin as a tribute to
five decades of functional elegance.
Limited to just 750 examples worldwide, this 2022 Porsche 911 Targa
4 GTS Edition 50 Years Porsche Design is identified as number
084/750 by its numbered dashboard plaque. The car was delivered new
to the current owner via Official Porsche Center Manhattan
Motorcars and its VINAnalytics report lists a full complement of
optional equipment. The interior features a BOSE Surround Sound
System, Heated GT Sport Steering Wheel in Leather, Sport Seats Plus
Backrest Shells in Leather with Leather Inlay, Ionizer, and Front
Ventilated Seats. Exterior and technical options include Front Axle
Lift, Rear Axle Steering, Power Steering Plus, LED-Matrix
Headlights in Black including PDLS+, Lane Change Assist, and
more.
Offered with a mere 27 miles at the time of cataloging with a
recent recommended service from Beverly Hills Porsche and a
factory-applied front PPF treatment, this 50 Years Porsche Design
Edition Targa 4 GTS is a special edition 911 suited to those
collections focused on limited edition investment-grade Porsches
with exceptionally low mileage.
