This 1987 Ford F-250 Supercab 4x2 is an XLT Lariat. It is a 3 Owner
truck, the last owner owned since 2022 when we sold it to a
customer of ours from Ohio where he used it as a summer toy. He
only put 4,000 miles on it and maintained it yearly for the season.
Before that it spent its life in the pacific NW so it is a clean
and rust free rig. The owner from the pacific NW took very good
care of this truck and it was actually the 3rd one we purchased
from him as he had a collection of them that he kept. He is getting
older so that is why he sold it. The body on this truck is in
excellent original condition. It is very clean, very solid, and
straight. We found no rust repairs or rust issues anywhere. This
truck was repainted at one time years ago in its original colors of
Desert Tan Metallic and White. It is older paint but it actually
shined up nice to go along with the newly repainted hood and roof
which was losing its clear-coat. All of the chrome, bumpers, and
moldings appear original and are in good shape.
The interior is in nice condition too. It has a newly recovered
split bench seat and the carpet, door panels, dash, and headliner
are all original and in good condition. The headlights, taillights,
brakelights, and turn signals are all working. The gauges are all
working and this truck has power windows and locks that are
working. The horn and wipers work and the heat works. This truck
does have factory AC and it is blowing cold!!! The cruise control
is not working as the components were removed when the engine was
rebuilt.
Mechanically this truck runs and drives great!!! The engine is the
original 460 V8 that was totally rebuilt with a mild cam, aluminum
intake, edelbrock carb, and added dual exhaust. The owner did not
have the receipts for this truck but the engine definitely appears
to have been out and there were no issues or red flags that we
found. It runs strong and smooth. They also added a new radiator,
distributor, and alternator. This was done by the 2nd owner. The
transmission is the C6 Automatic that shifts nice. The rear axle is
a Ford 10.25 with 4.10 gears. It is sitting a set of factory rims
with newer Hankook Dynapro 265/75/16 tires with around 4,000 miles
on them. This would be a great everyday driver or just a nice
weekend truck for someone.
