The Volkswagen Beetle is one of the most instantly recognizable and
iconic classic cars on the road today. These popular classics are
very prevalent throughout pop culture and featured in a number of
movies including Bumblebee, Footloose, Once Upon a Time, and (most
notably) Herbie. It is no wonder that Volkswagen wanted to
recapture the magic of the original Beetle with a modern iteration.
Thus the New Beetle was released in 1998. The VW New Beetle was
produced from 1998-2010. During that time, a high performance model
known as the Turbo S was produced for a limited time between 2002
and 2004. The New Beetle Turbo S featured a more aggressive front
and rear fascia, sport suspension, power rear spoiler and was
powered by a potent 180HP turbocharged 1.8L Inline-4 backed by a
6-speed manual transmission. This 2002 Volkswagen Beetle Turbo S is
an excellent, one-owner example of these great, retro New Beetles
with just 60,500 actual miles. This exterior of this Beetle Turbo S
is in excellent condition throughout presenting very well in its
factory original Reflex Silver Metallic paint. The Beetle's Reflex
Silver metallic exterior is nicely complimented by its Turbo S
specific front and rear fascia, factory "VW" and "Turbo S" emblems,
and factory painted alloy wheels wrapped in Ironhead Reflex tires
(dated 2024). The factory Silver and Black two-tone leather
interior is in excellent condition throughout. Powering this great
Beetle Turbo S is its very capable 180HP turbocharged 1.8L Inline-4
cylinder engine backed by its original 6-speed manual transmission.
Both the engine and transmission perform just as they should and
deliver a very sporty driving experience. This VW Beetle is very
well equipped from the factory with options such as: power 4-wheel
disc brakes, power steering, speed activated rear spoiler, power
sideview mirrors, heated sideview mirrors, AM/FM stereo w/
cassette, air conditioning, power door locks, remote keyless entry,
remote rear hatch, cruise control, heated front seats, power
sunroof, in-dash tachometer and heater/defrost. This Beetle Turbo S
is very well documented by its original window sticker, original
bill of sale, original title, original dealer SOLD tag, original
temporary tag, and a collection of service records. If you are in
the market for a very nice and well maintained example of these
rare New Beetle Turbo S's that is turn-key ready to enjoy and would
present very well at any cruise-in or car show, then you will want
to take a very close look at this awesome 2002 Volkswagen Beetle
Turbo S.
