Vehicle Description
1967 Chevrolet Corvette L71 Convertible For Sale - Triple Crown
Winner, Concours Restoration LMC is very proud to offer for sale
this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette L71 Convertible The 1967 Corvette
Sting Ray was the last Corvette of the second generation, and five
years of refinements made it the best of the line. The 427/435HP
L71 Sting Ray would be the high-water mark of Corvette performance
and refinement for the C2 series of cars. Changes were modest with
five smaller front fender vents replacing the three larger ones and
the flat-finish rockers conferred a lower profile. New was a single
backup light mounted above the license plate and the previous
models' wheel covers were exchanged for the new design. Interior
alterations included revised upholstery and the handbrake moved
from beneath the dash to between the seats. The 427/435hp came
standard from the factory with the Holley triple two-barrel
carburetor arrangement called Tri-Power. The rare L71 engine
package cost the original buyer an extra $437.10 on the GM order
form. This example offered here for sale is a fully documented,
multiple award winning 1967 Corvette Convertible complete with its
numbers matching L71 427ci/435hp engine and Muncie M21 four speed
manual transmission. Sold new at Baher Chevrolet in Manhattan
Beach, California which is shown on the Protect-O-Plate and other
dealer documentation. Finished in its factory correct paint color
of Goodwood Green with white "Stinger" hood and black vinyl
interior, this stunning 1967 Corvette Roadster showcases all
options one would desire in a mid year. As a touch of performance
and style, the car has been optioned with side mount exhaust and a
set of original Kelsey Hayes bolt on wheels. Completing the list of
options are the previously mentioned power windows, tinted glass,
AM/FM radio and auxiliary hard top. Having been frame-off restored
by marque specialist Kevin Mackay, this example has been judged at
the highest level winning the Triple Crown award which includes
Bloomington Gold Certified, Multiple NCRS Top Flight Awards
Including Chapter & National and the Gold Spinner Award Vettefest
Nationals. Since completion, it has only been trailered to shows
accumulating on 53 miles since the restoration was finished.
Important with any Corvette of this caliber, this car comes
documented with Tank Sticker, Protect-O-Plate, original warranty
paperwork, owners manual, awards, judging sheets and much more.
Also accompanied by a letter from Kevin Mackay verifying the
engine, trim tag and tank sticker to be the "factory originals" to
