1970 Challenger RT/SE "Black Ghost" - Adventure Classic Cars
Adventure Classic Cars proudly presents the 1970 Challenger RT/SE
"Special Edition," famously known as the "Black Ghost."
A Legendary Classic
This exceptional car is recognized as a rare variant among
Challenger muscle cars, celebrated for its mysterious history as a
dominant street racer in Detroit during the 1970s.
The legend tells of a vehicle that appeared and vanished without
warning, earning a reputation for being undefeated and elusive.
This aura grew because its owner, Godfrey Qualls, was a Detroit
police officer who raced the car secretly.
As a result, this Challenger is one of the most prized and
collectible models, with very few R/T SEs equipped with the
powerful Hemi engine produced in 1970.
Special Edition Features
The "SE" stands for "Special Edition," a package available for the
1970 Challenger that introduced luxury details such as a vinyl
roof, additional exterior trim, and an upgraded interior, setting
it apart from the standard model.
Performance and Specifications
This Challenger is equipped with the rare and powerful 440 Magnum
V8 engine, stamped as a 440 HP Magnum, and paired with a Dana
