Built in 1993 by Total Performance, this 1923 Ford T-Bucket brings
a full-throttle street rod look with a lean body and wild attitude.
The Porsche Red paint is accented by hand-painted yellow pinstripes
that trace the lines of the fiberglass body with just enough flash.
A tan canvas top bolts on when needed but keeps the profile tight
and low. Hall Craft chrome 18" wheels up front wear Michelin 110/90
B18 motorcycle tires, while out back, 15" True Spokes are wrapped
in massive 29x15.50-15LT Mickey Thompsons that put the stance right
where it should be-nose down, tail up.
Camel vinyl stretches over a bench seat that fits just right
between the rails. It's simple, clean, and trimmed to keep your
attention where it belongs. A floor-mounted shifter gives you solid
control, and Classic Instruments gauges line the dash with a clean
look and crisp contrast. A Kenwood Bluetooth stereo brings in some
music for the longer rides, but the focus stays on the sound of the
pipes. This interior is made for cruising the lanes between
fairground barriers or idling through a weekend show with just
enough personality to back the body.
Power comes from a 283 V8 with casting 3849852 and GF suffix,
topped with a Holley 600 CFM 4-barrel carb and Weiand Street
Warrior intake. It feeds a set of long tube headers that dump into
side pipes-one look and you know exactly what kind of build this
is. A TH350 3-speed automatic keeps it simple and dependable,
sending torque to a GM rear end stamped D238 (April 23, 1959).
Suspension up front runs a transverse leaf setup, while coil
springs with shocks handle the rear. Front disc brakes keep it all
in check, and a driveshaft-mounted emergency brake adds the
finishing touch.
