Vehicle Description
The blacked-out grille and Rhino-lined bed give this 1968 Ford
F-100 a sharp, stripped-down look that plays well against the
two-tone finish. Debadged and trimmed in black accents, it lands
hard with its stance-thanks to a set of 16" chrome Cragar wheels
wrapped in 235/65R16 Goodyear tires. The heavy-duty chrome rear
bumper adds a solid finish, while dual chrome exhaust tips frame
the back end. It's a clean, confident setup that speaks with steel
instead of emblems or stripes.
White and black vinyl and cloth line the bench seat, tying in with
the exterior color scheme. The painted dash and door panels keep
the cabin straightforward, with thoughtful details that don't
overdo it. A column shifter keeps it classic, while Vintage Air A/C
and under-dash vents make the space functional. The AM/FM
RetroSound stereo with Bluetooth pushes sound through door speakers
and dash-mounted tweeters, blending new tech into a clean vintage
layout.
The 351 Windsor V8 under the hood was built by ATK High Performance
and punched .040 over. It runs an Isky 265 roller cam, aluminum
heads, and a 600CFM Holley carb sitting on an Edelbrock aluminum
intake. Spark is handled by a Pertronix Flame Thrower distributor
and coil. Exhaust flows through Hedman shorty headers into a dual
MagnaFlow setup. A TCI Street Fighter AOD 4-speed automatic with a
TCI converter sends power back to a Ford 9" rear. Up front is Twin
I-Beam suspension with a sway bar, and the rear uses leaf springs
with shocks. It's finished with front power disc brakes and power
steering.
