This 1992 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 is a beautifully preserved example of
the iconic Fox Body Mustang, finished in its original, all-factory
paint and showing no signs of rust or bodywork. It's a rare Summer
Edition model-also known as a Feature Car, Limited Edition, or
Summer Special-produced only for the 1992 model year. Ford built
approximately 2,200 of these special edition convertibles, with
only 787 equipped with a manual transmission, making this car a
standout among Mustang enthusiasts and collectors.
This particular Mustang remains unmolested, with a clean and
unmodified drivetrain. It was purchased directly from the original
owner's family and comes with a clean title and two sets of keys.
The car has been well cared for and thoughtfully updated where
needed, while retaining the charm and originality of the factory
build.
Recent maintenance and upgrades include a new convertible top and
motor, rear window guides, seat upholstery, battery, tires,
headlights, spark plugs, wires, and distributor cap, as well as a
new serpentine belt, water pump, and all fresh fluids. All
electrical systems are functional, including the air conditioning,
ensuring the car is as enjoyable to drive as it is to look at.
A few tasteful aftermarket additions enhance performance and
reliability: DynoMax mufflers, a Maximum Motorsports K-member
brace, EBC front brake rotors, and upgraded headlights. For
convenience, a modern center console with cupholders has been
installed, though the original console-with its working ashtray-is
included in the sale. The "Mustang" lettering on the front and rear
bumpers are removable vinyl decals, not permanent paint, allowing
for a reversible custom touch.
