Vehicle Description
From 1965 through 1986 Ford produced the LTD and would be the
highest trim level of the full-size Ford models. The LTD moved the
Ford range upmarket, offering options and features equivalent to
Lincoln and Mercury cousins. Its competition would be the Chevrolet
Caprice at the time. For the first three generations, the LTD
served as the largest Ford vehicle in North America. The second
generation as we have here in our Traverse City Gallery was built
between 1969 and 1978 and would be produced in the US, Canada and
Venezuela. This particular LTD we are happy to represent comes out
of long term family ownership and is in very good driver quality
condition. The paint is good but has flaws like fading, some
scratches and stone chips, the power convertible top is in
excellent condition and operates as it should. All the lights,
gauges, windows operate as they should and the clock still works.
The interior in nice shape, the trunk and under the hood are also
nice and tidy. This car is largely free from any rust and is good
condition underneath showing minor surface rust with a nice clean
body and floo pans. The car starts right up and sounds nice with a
newer exhaust system. It idles well and goes down the road nice and
smooth. This would make a really nice cruiser. We welcome and
questions and inspections and look forward to talking to you about
his car.
