The Story:
Over 30 years ago, “Grandpa David” traded a Cessna airplane to acquire this very Dodge D2, which arrived in pieces on a rollback. After over two decades of restoration, the family finished the meticulous restoration process that would bring this beauty back to life.
The restoration became a grandfather-grandson project, with Sam (the grandson) spending his entire childhood wrenching, learning, and eventually completing this build with his grandpa. Sam fondly remembers the first time they fired it up together—a memory that has stayed with him into adulthood. Today, some of his favorite memories include cruising with his wife and attending the Run to the Sun event in this very car.
