This 1964 Ford Falcon Sprint is a striking and increasingly rare
example of Ford's early performance efforts, finished in classic
Guardsman Blue with a freshly installed white power-operated vinyl
top. Inside, a well-kept two-tone blue vinyl interior adds vintage
flair, complemented by factory-style bucket seats and a center
console that reflect the sporty character of the Sprint trim.
The heart of this Falcon is a 289 cubic inch V8 engine-an upgrade
from the 260ci V8 originally offered in the Sprint's debut-paired
with an automatic transmission for smooth, effortless cruising. A
new dual stainless steel exhaust system gives the car a confident,
throaty rumble, enhancing both sound and performance. Underneath,
updated suspension components and rear air shocks improve ride
quality and handling, making this Sprint as enjoyable to drive as
it is to admire.
The "Sprint" designation holds a special place in Ford history.
Produced for just two model years (1963 and 1964), the Falcon
Sprint was a limited-production performance model that laid the
groundwork for the first Mustang. It featured V8 power, upgraded
suspension, and distinctive badging, turning the humble Falcon into
a true driver's car. Sprint convertibles, like this one, were built
in far fewer numbers than coupes, making them especially sought
after today.
This example captures the spirit of mid-'60s American performance
with tasteful upgrades and a solid connection to one of Ford's most
important eras. Whether you're a collector or a weekend cruiser,
this Falcon Sprint delivers vintage style, rarity, and a genuine
link to the birth of the pony car.
