1968 Pontiac Firebird - Awesome example of Pontiac's compact muscle that has been beautifully restored with plenty of Show & Go! Previous long term ownership for the past 20+ years and restored around 10 years ago to a tasteful factory-spec appearance. Originally a 350-4spd car but is now powered by a rebuilt and era-correct 1968-1969 "YT-suffix" 400ci/330hp V8 with a few mild performance upgrades added. Nicely optioned with factory A/C, power steering and power disc brakes up front. A custom PYPES stainless dual exhaust system really gives this bird more air to breath and sounds awesome at both idle and acceleration. Exterior has been professionally re-finished from the original "Vedaro Green" to a more striking correct shade of "Solar Red" with a new white vinyl roof and H.O.-style stripe kit. An iconic Ram-Air style hood with working hood tach has been installed and the chrome and trim shows excellent front front to back. Correct set of 15" PMD Rally-II wheels have also been restored and wrapped in staggered size BFG white letter radial tires to really compliment the muscle look. Interior contrasts beautifully in the correct Parchment hues throughout with vinyl bucket seats, woodgrain center console and sport steering wheel. All lights, gauges and heater work as does the original AM/FM radio. The A/C system is not currently functional but a new OEM style compressor has been installed and just needs remaining lines finished up and system charged. Underside is solid with no current signs of any rust or rot issues and the engine bay is nicely detailed. Original owners manual and original Broadcast Sheet are included as well. These cars have usually played 2nd fiddle to their Camaro cousins but the true enthusiasts and collector's know they are a bargain for performance and style.
