1941 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible. This vintage vehicle is a
remarkable survivor, boasting extensive original features and
thorough documentation, making it a rare time capsule from the
early 1940s. Sold originally in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in June
1941, the car comes with its original sales invoice, owner service
certificate, and a comprehensive three-ring binder filled with
decades of service and registration records. Over 150 pages of
historical background, including a copy of the original ordering
dealer thank you letter to the buyer, and the ability to trace year
by year the only three owners in 85 years. With just 41,494
documented original miles, the car retains much of its authenticity
including the believed original leather interior and stock
mechanical components. Flathead V8 engine paired with a 3-speed
manual "three-on-the-tree" column shifter and features the original
six-volt electrical system. Green paint that, while not perfect, is
well-preserved and fitting for its age. Chrome details, including
the grille, bumpers, and headlight surrounds, are bright and
intact. The car rides on wide whitewall tires with good tread and
original-style Ford center caps and beauty rings. Inside, the
leather seats and door panels show natural aging, adding character.
A Southwind heater is installed underneath the dash, and the power
convertible top operates smoothly, with the fabric top in good
condition despite minor wear such as a broken center latch. The
interior dash remains largely original, featuring working gauges
including an amp gauge, oil pressure, temperature, and fuel gauge.
Small mechanical notes include the absence of windshield wipers
(removed for preservation) and a minor rattle from the driver's
side door glass. Smooth shifting, pleasant clutch feel, and a
generally comfortable ride.
