Vehicle Description
Introducing the remarkable 1926 Dodge Brothers Roadster, a stunning
example of classic automotive craftsmanship. This roadster boasts
an all-steel body, retaining its original roadster structure while
showcasing a unique blend of vintage charm and modern enhancements.
Key original components include the cowl, trunk lid, hood sides,
grill shell, radiator topper, and headlight buckets, all of which
contribute to its authentic appearance.
The rear fenders have been expertly widened by three inches to
accommodate a more aggressive stance, while the original front
fenders have been thoughtfully modified to enhance the car's
overall design. The doors, door pillar, hinges, dash insert, and
quarter panels are all hand-built, reflecting an exceptional level
of craftsmanship. The one-piece hood, which hinges on both sides
and features custom hidden latches, adds a sleek touch to the
vehicle's profile.
This remarkable build features a custom firewall and
hand-fabricated running boards, highlighting the meticulous
craftsmanship that went into its creation. It includes a bespoke
front splash apron and uniquely designed bumpers, with the rear
bumper constructed from solid stainless steel for both durability
and sophistication. The windshield frame has been modified to
achieve a more aerodynamic silhouette for the roadster.
The classic vehicle is adorned in a custom red paint, utilizing a
base coat clear coat finish that exudes depth and brilliance. The
original 1926 frame has been reinforced for enhanced strength and
stability, paired with a Mustang II front suspension system that
significantly improves handling and ride comfort. The Ford 9" rear
end features ladder bars and coilover shocks, providing exceptional
performance and adjustability.
At the heart of this stunning roadster is a 350 Chevy crate engine,
coupled with a 700R4 transmission, ensuring a smooth and vigorous
driving experience. The interior boasts custom leather upholstery
that elevates both comfort and style, making every journey
pleasurable. This roadster is equipped with American Rebel Sprint
wheels and shaved sidewall tires, contributing to its aggressive
and sporty appearance.
Notably, this impressive Dodge Brothers Roadster was showcased at
the Builders Showcase during the 2022 NSRA Street Rod Nationals in
Louisville, Kentucky, emphasizing its outstanding design and
craftsmanship. The engine, sourced from Jegs, is a 383 blueprint
producing 405 horsepower, complemented by a custom radiator from a
performance garage. The frame has been powder-coated, and the
entire brake system has been upgraded with components from MP
Master Power Brake Company. The front end has been replaced with a
Fatman setup, and the suspension is entirely new, featuring A-arms,
shocks, and springs. The car was stripped down to the bare frame
and meticulously rebuilt from the ground up, effectively making it
a brand-new creation.
The construction of this vehicle was led by David Green, father of
NASCAR drivers David, Mark, and Jeff Green. Following his passing,
Jeff Green completed the build before the car was acquired by
Canes. Jeff, a former NASCAR champion, has raced for prestigious
teams such as Richard Childress, Dale Earnhardt, and Haas Racing,
among others. His involvement in NASCAR underscores his commitment
to quality, ensuring that no corners were cut during the
construction of this exceptional car.
