The exterior of this '70 Chevelle SS is in excellent overall condition throughout. The iconic factory designed body is dressed in the flagship color of Cranberry Red. From the information gathered which includes restoration photos this car retains all of its original factory sheet metal. The body is very straight and it has excellent gap lines throughout. The functioning cowl induction hood fits extremely nice on this car especially towards the backside which most don't. The body was painted in its factory color of Cranberry Red with black racing stripes. This color is arguably the most desirable color offered on a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS. The high quality paint appears like it was sprayed recently and there only a few minor imperfections. The paint was just detailed to a brilliant finish by the team at MS CLASSIC CARS. The front windshield, door glass, quarter glass and rear windshield was replaced new. Everything on the exterior has been restored or replaced new such as the glass stainless trim, drip rail moldings, wiper arms, cowl trim, hood pins, front grille, headlight buckets, T3 headlights, front bumper, parking light bezels and lenses, driver's side mirror, door handles, lock cylinders, wheel well moldings, rear bumper, tail light lenses and emblems. The car rolls on the correct 14” 5-spoke Rally wheels with wheel trim rings and SS center cap emblems. The wheels are mounted to SS F70 x 14 Firestone Wide O Oval white letter tires. Everything on the exterior is in working order such as the wipers, horn, headlights, tail lights, brake lights, reverse lights and turn signals.

The interior of this '70 Chevelle SS is also in very nice condition throughout. Everything in the interior is in working order such as the dome light, gauges including the 7000-RPM tachometer, electric clock, AM-FM radio, heating and air conditioning system. Yes, this car was originally equipped with factory AC and it still operates on R12. It's equipped with the correct style rubber front floor mats. The trunk compartment is beautifully restored including a new seal, stickers, correct trunk splatter paint, spare tire and original jack with tools. The rubber seal even has the two painted assembly marks on it.

The car is powered by the original factory matching-numbers 396 V8 10:25:1 engine that was factory rated with 350hp. As stated in the Chris White's report, “The engine pad still exhibits its original broach marks and stampings. Also, located on the pad is the partial VIN of 10B167088 which matches the car. This includes the Tonawanda assembly date and information suffix of T0305CTW which decodes to the date code March 5th, 1970, assembled in Tonawanda as a 350HP 396 with turbo hydra-matic transmission. The transmission is a turbo hydra-matic 400 that was assembled February 26th, 1970 and carries the CF code on the identification tag and unit number 21706. This transmission also has the partial VIN stamped on the driver's side of the case above the pan rail. This number matches the partial VIN of the car 10B167088. The rear axle is the proper assembly for an L34 396 car and has a build date of 0216 and application code of CCF which is for a 3.31 with limited slip differential.
