This 1947 Ford Super Deluxe Club Convertible was part of the top of
the line cars produced by Ford, and this example is finished in
Taffy Tan with a tan convertible top. Under long term ownership in
California, it was purchased by the previous owners Father in 1988,
restored and presented as a gift to his wife in 1990, and has been
driven less than 1000 miles since restoration. The 5 digit odometer
read 92k miles.
It is powered by a 239 cubic inch 'Flathead' V8 and paired with a 3
speed manual transmission. Significant expenses were incurred to
refresh the vehicle's mechanical condition in 2024 including; New
fuel tank and fuel sending unit, new electric fuel pump, new
mechanical fuel pump, new fuel lines, new battery, drive belts,
water pumps, radiator hoses, spark plugs, spark plug wires,
distributor points, cap, and rotor, engine oil and filter change,
front brake shoes and wheel cylinders, rear brake shoes and wheel
cylinders, re-surfaced front brake drums, brake master cylinder,
brake switch, front and rear brake hoses, re-packed wheel bearings,
rebuilt carburetor. It rolls on 15 inch body colored steel wheels
with chrome trim rings and hubcaps and wide whitewall tires.
