Porsche is no stranger to creating special and rare editions of the
911, often featuring advanced technology or celebrating a milestone
for the automaker which are made available to the public. The last
of the air-cooled Porsche 911s, the 993 is the final evolution of
the storied air-cooled lineage from Porsche. The 993 boasts all of
the innovations and refinement that Porsche learned from building
the 911 for 30+ years, creating a simple yet distilled package of
excellent driving dynamics, everyday comfort and accessible
performance. As you might imagine, this has resulted in one of the
most sought-after variants of the 993. In addition to the C2S
featuring the Turbo's wide body, it also employed a 3.6L air cooled
flat six engine producing 282 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque,
and was the final iteration of the iconic air cooled engines from
Porsche.
This 1998 Porsche 911 Carrera S was completed in Stuttgart, Germany
on October 20th, 1997 and subsequently shipped to Beverly Hills
Porsche in Beverly Hills, California. The C2S was spec'd in the
stunning and classic Arctic Silver Metallic with a gray leather
interior. In addition to a wide range of standard equipment,
including air conditioning, power windows, a leather interior, an
electric sunroof, and a 6-speed manual transmission, it was
optioned with the following factory options:
X70 - Stainless steel door entry guards with model logo

220 - LSD Limited Slip Differential with 40% lock
224 - ABD Automatic Braking Differential (traction control)

The first owner, Reynold and Mary Ann Kebo of Los Angeles, CA,
purchased the C2S from Beverly Hills Porsche on November 25th,
1997. The couple would remain the caretakers of the 911 for
approximately 14 years, adding only 6,998 miles to the odometer. In
November of 2011 it found a new caretaker who kept the car
regularly serviced at The Collection, adding approximately 1,800
miles to the car during their ownership. In November of 2018 the
C2S returned to California, residing in Sacramento until arriving
at Canepa in 2021 for service which included the installation of a
new sound deadener pad, flush and bleed the clutch and brakes,
replacement of various bushings, a complete A/C system service, a
4-wheel suspension alignment, and a complete detail.
Upon returning to Canepa, the C2S was given a thorough mechanical
and cosmetic inspection. Given that the car had just been at Canepa
in 2021 and sold in 2022, it was in excellent condition.
Nonetheless, every car is put through the "Canepa Difference"
process to ensure that every checkbox is ticked. The Arctic Silver
Metallic paint was polished using a multi-stage foam pad system as
a part of the concours-level detailing that the C2S received, in
addition to being detailed from top to bottom. Included with this
1998 Porsche 911 C2S are its original owner's manuals and books,
tool roll, jack, spare wheel and tire, maintenance documents, and a
clean CarFax.
One of the most sought-after variants of the 993 and of Porsche's
air cooled cars, the C2S is one of the all time greatest drivers
cars. With the fantastic 6-speed manual transmission, 3.6L flat six
engine, and ample mechanical grip due to the Turbo widebody, the
C2S is one of the most enjoyable 911s to truly drive on a regular
basis and enjoy. With this C2S only amassing 9,308 original miles,
with the classic color scheme of Arctic Silver Metallic with a gray
leather interior, it will only continue to appreciate in the
future, and its owner appreciating it every time it hits the
road.
