There are several reasons why the Mustang has been the only Pony
Car to continuously be produced year after year since it debuted in
April of 1964. One look at this stunning 2015 Ford Mustang Twin
Turbo and it's easy to see why it has amassed such a loyal
following for decades. Outfitted in its original and sleek black
exterior complemented by its dual full-length red racing stripes,
this Blue Oval beauty has just 87,780 actual miles on its
odometer.
Inside, we find a two-tone red and black leather interior that is
just as racy as it is comfy. Power windows, locks, mirrors combine
with its heated power seats to provide all the modern amenities
anyone could ask for. Two big gauges sit front and center of the
three-spoke padded steering wheel, which comes complete with thumb
controls for the infotainment system as well as cruise control. The
center stack is home base for that infotainment system, along with
analog controls for the HVAC system and its AM/FM/Aux/Bluetooth
stereo. A red-rimmed engine start/stop button will grab your
attention for just a moment before the digital Boost Leash control
module takes center stage.
Under the hood, we find out what that boost controller is used for.
As if the 5.0-liter Coyote V-8 isn't powerful enough, this modern
muscle car flexes with the might of an Olympic powerlifter thanks
to the Hellion Sleeper twin turbo kit tucked away beneath that
aluminum strut tower brace. So what does it make? This boosted
boulevard bruiser has dyno sheets to prove its power. Making a
whopping 687 horsepower on pump gas and an organ-flattening 906
horsepower when tuned for E85, it's clear this car's 30K in
invoices has been put to good use. That massive power is routed
through an MT82 six-speed manual transmission which has been
upgraded with a Lethal Performance twin disc clutch before being
sent out to a 3.73-geared rear end where G-Force Renegade half
shafts transmit those prodigious ponies to beautiful 19-inch
powder-coated black wheels shod in Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
